Dampier Village Centre, located at 15 High Street, Dampier, occupies a prominent position within the town, comprising approximately 3,594 sqm of building area across a substantial 13,010 sqm freehold landholding.
Scope acquired the property in August 2020 and has since undertaken a staged redevelopment and repositioning strategy focused on improving the asset, strengthening its tenant mix and creating a more active community hub for Dampier.
The property accommodates a mix of office, retail, food and service-based operators, with Australian Border Force as the anchor tenant.
Stage 1 of the redevelopment is now complete and has delivered a significant transformation of the Centre and its surrounds. Works included the extensive refurbishment of the rear building, landscaped gardens, outdoor lawns, shaded seating and the creation of an outdoor Piazza with dining and picnic areas beneath festoon lighting. Together with the adjoining skate park, these improvements were designed to encourage greater use of the precinct and provide a welcoming place for families, friends and the wider Dampier community to gather.
The introduction of additional businesses has further activated the Centre, expanding the range of services and experiences available locally and supporting Scope's vision for a stronger, more connected Village Centre.
Stage 2 works commenced in June 2026, with major demolition and internal strip-out works progressing through the former mall. The existing spaces are being stripped back to the building shell in preparation for upgraded works and a more flexible configuration capable of accommodating businesses across a range of tenancy sizes.
The redevelopment represents Scope's ongoing investment in both the property and Dampier. Positioned within the City of Karratha and the wider Pilbara resources region, the strategy is focused on progressively improving the asset while creating a modern, well-presented Centre that better serves the local community and supports a broader mix of businesses and services.
